I've never soldered. Can I actually do this?
Yes. The Exact-Board Method films every joint on the identical board in your hands. Zero assumed: no electronics knowledge required.
What if I get stuck halfway?
Pause and rewatch the step you're on. If you're still stuck, send a photo. We diagnose within 24 hours and send free replacement parts if needed.
Shaky hands, aging eyes: will it still go okay?
Oversized pads and orientation marks on the silkscreen are designed for real hands. Every joint is filmed, so you match yours to the screen before moving on.
Will it set off my smoke alarm?
Proper soldering with lead-free solder produces very little smoke. Work near a window or with a small fan if you're sensitive to flux smell.
Isn't solder lead? Is the smoke toxic?
Our kit uses 100% lead-free solder. Flux fumes aren't great to breathe all day, so crack a window. For a one-evening build this is kitchen-table safe.
Can I do this in a dorm or an apartment?
Yes. USB-powered, low voltage, can't shock you. Keep the iron tip clear of soft surfaces and you're fine.
How is this different from a $12 Amazon kit?
All 125 joints are filmed on your exact board, you match each one to the screen as you go, and the Lights-On Guarantee means we fix it if it doesn't light up.
